HROI IS HEADED BY SHELLY FREEMAN who brings a unique combination of legal and human resources management experience. First, she spent more than
10 years as a labor & employment trial attorney. She worked with clients providing practical
counseling, advice, training and successful defense in human resources matters ranging from
daily performance management strategies to complex multifaceted litigation for companies in
diverse industries including health care, banking, manufacturing, retail, hospitality and publishing.
But unlike other labor & employment attorneys, she's also been an HR director for a large
company operating in many states - dealing with day-in and day-out practical, business and strategic
issues. There's not much she hasn't seen or dealt with personally!
Because she's been in your shoes, Shelly knows how to identify potential problems early on and recommend
timely and cost-efficient remedies, when to recommend resolution and how best to equip a company to
win in court.
When it comes to her abilities as a trainer, Shelly's expertise is unrivaled. She combines a depth
of technical knowledge with her ability to readily convey it in accessible and enjoyable ways that
business people can understand and apply
Chari Young joined HROI in 2007 after beginning her career in private practice with a local law firm. She has a wealth of experience counseling and training clients on employment law issues as well as acting as defense counsel in lawsuits and administrative filings in various other cases. Ms. Young served as law clerk to the Honorable Carlos Murguia, United States District Court Judge from 2003 to 2006.
With the combined experience of our trained professionals, HROI offers your company an extraordinary
combination of legal expertise, practical experience and big-picture perspective.
